Druridge Bay Duathlons
Set along the breathtaking Northumbrian coastline, the Druridge Bay Duathlon offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and sporting challenge. Taking place within the stunning Druridge Bay Country Park, this event provides an ideal setting for both newcomers to the sport and seasoned athletes chasing a new personal best.
The Druridge Bay Duathlons boasts a distinguished history of hosting national events, having previously served as a British Triathlon Age Group Qualifying event for the World Standard Distance Duathlon Championships in 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026.

The minimum age for the sprint distance is 15 years old on 31st December and for the standard distance event is 17 years old on 31st December.

Building on the success of its sister event, the Druridge Bay Festival of Sport, our duathlon distances, courses are suited to everyone, whether you are trying your first event, stepping up from a sprint distance, or testing yourself on a longer standard route. It is the perfect way to kick‑start your season.
The run route follows the footpath that winds its way through the woods and meadows that surround the lake. The bike route will take you out of the Country Park along the flat coastal route.
Druridge Bay Country Park sits beside one of Northumberland’s most striking stretches of coastline, right next to the sweeping sands of Druridge Bay beach. It is a hub for outdoor activity. Popular for cycling, running, swimming, walking, paddling, sailing, and surfing.
